Student Expectations
Riverbend Prep. has established two models to meet your learning needs. Students with access to technology and internet will follow the expectations under “Student A”. Those without access will follow the expectations under “Student B”.
We invite parents to use their best judgment in modifying these expectations to meet their children’s needs. This could be a combination of online and print and may require copies to be picked up and dropped off at the school. Whatever option you chose, please communicate your learning plan to your teacher.

Riverbend Prep. students are required to adhere to all regular rules and policies. The expectations, as laid out below, are some general guidelines to ensure your student’s virtual learning experience is as seamless as possible during this challenging time.
Study Environment: Students should have a designated area where the complete their work
Student Schedule: Students should develop a schedule, developing a routine
Behavior: Students should model behavior as if they were attending Riverbend campus everyday
Virtual Classroom: Students should know daily expectations & have a clear understanding of what is being asked of them
Communication: Students should be in contact with their teachers on a regular, consistent basis (Parents as well – work with your student’s teacher to identify preferred communication method)
Privacy: Students may or may not appear on video in the Virtual Classroom. *ALL SESSIONS WILL BE RECORDED*. If you do not want your child to appear, please disable their webcam to ensure they can still speak and hear but their image does not appear.
Noise Consideration: Please be considerate to your classmates and ensure there is no background noise during live teaching sessions. We recommend teaching your student how to mute and un-mute their microphone so they do not disturb the lesson with unexpected noise.
REMEMBER: We are all learning together. Do your best and remain positive. We will get through this stronger and smarter than we ever thought possible. You can do this!
